Is the Defensive Driving Solutions driver safety course approved by the Texas Education Agency?

Defensive Driving Solutions is approved by the Texas Education Agency. With that being said, we are accepted by each and every court in the state of Texas for the dismissal of traffic tickets and may also lower your insurance rates by up to 10%. (You will need to check with you insurance provider for further details.)

I heard the course is six hours. Do I really have to sit here for the next six hours and take this course?

Although you don’t have to sit here and take it all at once, all courses approved by the Texas Education Agency must take a minimum of 360 minutes (six hours) to complete. You have the option to complete the entire course at once or log in and out to work with your schedule. Your account on the course will automatically track your progress so you can pick up right where you left off.

How fast can I get my Certificate of Course Completion?

We understand the importance of receiving your certificate in a timely manner. Promised expedited delivery times for courses completed by 3:00PM CST business days. For courses completed after 3:00PM on Friday, on weekends or holidays, time is calculated from the next business day. Please read the details for each delivery method for more information.

Overnight AM Delivery - $25.00

OH NO!! Your court date is tomorrow at 2. Well we are here to help. If you complete the course by 3:00 pm (CST) Monday though Friday, you will receive your certificate the following business day by NOON.

Overnight PM Delivery - $20.00

If you complete the course by 3:00 pm (CST) Monday though Friday, you will receive your certificate the following business day by 7 pm CST.

Two-Day Delivery - $15.00

If you complete the course by 3:00 pm (CST) Monday though Friday, you will receive your certificate the second business day by 7 pm CST.

Three-Day Delivery - $10.00

So you aren’t in a huge time crunch but you want to make sure you have your certificate in time, this is the right choice for you. If you complete the course by 3:00 pm (CST) Monday though Friday, you will receive your certificate the third business day by 7 pm CST.

Saturday Delivery - $35.00

Say it’s almost the end of the week and you don’t want to risk not getting it in on time on Monday, we can help. If you complete the course by 3 PM on Friday and select this option, you will receive you certificate on Saturday. That can really help make for a much more relaxing weekend.

How much is the course and how can I pay?

The course is only $25.00. Based on current state laws, no approved course can be offered for a lower price so you can feel confident that you are getting the best possible deal. You can pay online with any major credit card or an electronic check (eCheck). If you would prefer, you will have the option to mail in a check or money order to pay for the course.

Is it safe to pay for my course online?

All of us here at Defensive Driving Solutions understand the risk of identity theft in today’s world. During the creation of our website, we implemented the top of the line security to protect every visitor to our site. We also understand that some people would still prefer to pay on the phone with a “Real Person”. If you would like to talk to a “Real Person”, feel free to call us and make a payment over the phone.

What if I start the course and then decide it's not for me?

You may cancel the course within 72 hours from time of registration for a full refund, provided that you have NOT failed or completed the course. If you cancel the course after 72 hours, a twenty dollar ($20.00) cancelation fee will be deducted from the refund. To cancel the course, you must request a refund by contacting customer service. Upon cancellation, the refund will be processed within fifteen (15) days. NO refund will be given to anyone requesting a refund more than 168 hours from time of registration or who have completed or failed the course.

Did the court say you needed a copy of your driving record?

Don't worry, we can help!

Ordering your driving record from the Texas Department of Public Safety yourself will cost you $10.00 but you must allow up to 4-6 weeks for delivery. If you have that much time left, I tip my hat to you on getting this taken care of in a timely manner. On the other hand, if you don’t have time to wait, our team here at Defensive Driving Solutions will have your driving record postmarked to you within 20 days at a cost of only $25.00.
